2026 Calendar — Queer and Monstrous

This is the third installment of an annual calendar project, featuring twelve artists from across the midwest. Through this year’s prompt of Queer and Monstrous, artists explored gender, sexuality, and community.

As project manager, Alexis Johnson wrote the prompt, hired artists, and worked with a graphic designer and a print company to create the final product. Alexis also illustrated the July entry, featuring two harpies fighting during a storm as an exploration of female sexuality.
